THE Industry of the Future or Industry 4.0, and with it the promises of digital technologies ofIoT, of Big Data, of theAI, attract as much as they question. Insure the process control, determine the factors of variability, anticipating excesses are all areas of interest for gain in performance.
In processing industries, the sensitivity of products to the conditions of implementation makes these questions important for orienting a strategy towards the Industry of the Future. What can you extract from the data that is currently available? Should production lines be equipped with complementary sensors, and if so, which ones? Is there a sense in coupling thedata analysis offline and online? To what extent can we hope to automate a complex industrial process?
RHEONIS and OPTIMISTIC decided to combine their expertise in a Methods Workshop dedicated to questions product/process from the perspective of product behavior measurement and numerical analysis of industrial data, on June 26, 2018, at the RHEONIS premises in Grenoble.
Nicolas Mougin is co-founder and technical director of Rheonis. Doctor in rheology,
Mechanical & fluid mechanics engineer, Nicolas is a process specialist
thermomechanics and rheometry of powders, fluid, pasty and semi-solid products.
After 10 years spent in operational positions in the process industry and 4 years
in the energy sector, Mathieu founded the company Optimistik with the objective of putting
data analysis at the service of operational staff for the improvement of industrial processes.
